Migraine treatments
Any migraine sufferer will know what its like to feel the pain and sometimes experience the aura. The aura is often the scariest part of the migraine and it normally comes quite some time before the actual pain. The aura is where the patient will see strange things that they don’t normally see unexplained things like bright flashes of light, zig zag lines, blind spots, dots, and many more. Migraine treatments are available for this and they come in the form of tablets. There are many different types of medication that one can get to help with their migraines, some of them include: * Topamax - originally used to control seizers, but then it was discovered that this medicine also worked for migraines. * Maxalt - (Rizatriptan) relieves migraines as well as the symptoms of them. * Midrin - relieves tension as well as migraines also helps to calm the pain of the migraine. * Relpax - eases the migraine when it occurs and relives its symptoms too. * Imitrex - helps to decrease the intensity of a migraine These are just a few of the top migraine treatments that are available in the form of drugs. The problem here is that many people do not like taking chemical medications due to the side effects that some of them give off. But this is why there are also natural ways in which you might be relieved from your migraines. Magnesium is also said to help if you suffer from migraines. A few foods that contain this mineral are bananas, green vegetables, beans, seafood, whole grain and nuts. By eating these foods on a daily basis you may notice that your migraines do not occur that often or when they do occur they are not as intense and severe as they normally are. Just add some magnesium to your daily diet and see the results. If none of these migraine treatments are working for you, or you are skeptical about using them, consult your doctor. You should see your doctor before taking any of the chemical medicines and make sure that you are not allergic to anything the medication contains. Your doctor will be able to tell you what is safe for you to take and will direct you on how you should take the medication. The magnesium foods might be better to try out first, this is because they have no side effects and are natural foods.
